KawaiiToons is a small site for people who love coloring, drawing, journaling, crafts, and cute creative desks. It started as a way to connect with other hobbyists — parents setting up a shared table, beginners opening a first sketchbook, and anyone who wants cheerful supplies without a hard sell.
The people behind KawaiiToons
Yumi Ang is the founder and editor. She loves coloring books, kawaii stationery, and screen-free making. She started KawaiiToons to share that world with other hobbyists, and she writes the guides on art supplies, journaling, crafts, and creative spaces.
Derek is an editor. He loves coloring, drawing, and a tidy desk ready for a quiet session. He helps shape the guides so they stay friendly and useful — the kind of advice you would want from someone who actually enjoys the hobby.

Who we write for
We write for parents, gift buyers, stationery fans, coloring hobbyists, and anyone building a cozy creative corner. If you are choosing washable markers for a shared table, a beginner drawing kit, a journal setup, or a gift that feels personal, you are in the right place.
What you will find here
- Buying guides for coloring, drawing, journaling, crafts and creative desks
- Gift ideas for creative children, tweens and adults
- Practical notes on what a tool is good for, and what to watch out for
- Original Kawaii Toons characters and free printables, which are still in progress — they will appear on the free printables page once the artwork and files are ready
Commerce stays in the background. We would rather help you pick something you will enjoy using than fill a page with store noise.
How we work
Most of our buying guides are research-based: we compare manufacturer information, product listings and published guidance, and we say so on the page. When a product has been used hands-on, the guide labels it that way. Each buying guide explains how its picks were chosen and shows the testing label for every pick.
- How we test explains each testing label
- Editorial policy covers independence, corrections and AI assistance
- Affiliate disclosure explains how the site earns money
